Guardian of the First Fire

  1. Ashalys, arms spread wide, in a red mist

    She was chosen to sacrifice herself, not to rule.

  2. Ashalys seen from behind, beneath a dome bathed in red

    Bound to an ancient Seal beneath Yggdrasil, Ashalys, Guardian of the First Fire, keeps burning.

  3. Ashalys looks up at the dome

    Her fire holds captive a force whose name has been erased from history.

  4. Ashalys walks through a burning fog

    The flame is slowly consuming her, body and soul.

  5. Ashalys, one arm outstretched, in the red light

    As long as the First Fire burns, the Seal remains intact.

  6. Ashalys against a red wall, a hand on her brow

    If the flame goes out, the Seal will break.

  7. Ashalys walks away into the red smoke

    The world she protects has forgotten her. She burns anyway.
